I usually come a long way after I’ve spent time looking at photos of Ryan Kwanten, who’s come a long way since his Australian TV origins, where he spent most of his time in a speedo down at the beach in Home And Away.

I had the pleasure of seeing Ryan perform as a gay angel - wings, leather bicep band, tighty-whities and nothing else - when he trod the boards at the Darlinghurst Theatre in Sydney in the mid 1990s.

We nearly share a birthday too - he’s November 28, I’m November 29. Sigh.
